IBIZA CLIMATE
IBIZA | FORMENTERA | HISTORY | SIGHTSEEING | LIFESTYLE | AGENDA | CLIMATE | THE TRIP
Ibiza is blessed by a balmy Mediterranean climate with sunny days and mild temperatures throughout the year. This is a climate with high average temperatures, mild winters, long summers, low annual average temperature variation and a high level of exposure to the sun (2,800 hours annually).
Winters are mild with temperatures around 15º C (60º F) and some rain. The hot Summer season lasts from June to September, with lots of sunshine and hardly any rain, air temperatures easily reaching 30º C (85º F). Spring and Autumn are nice seasons for watersports and outodoor activities, with more wind and still pleasant water temperature - annual average water temperatures range from 15º to 27º Celsius (59 to 80º F). Air temperatures are higher during Autumn than during the Spring.
Rainfall is uneven and scarce. Prevailing winds are from the W-SW in winter, and from the E in summer, because of thermal depression over the centre of the Iberian Peninsula.
