Sunset Point Sports Resort offers freediving courses of apnea. The activity that drives most public attention is competitive apnea, an extreme sport, in which competitors attempt to attain great depths, times or distances on a single breath without direct assistance of underwater breathing apparatus - Freediving reach the public at large with Luc Besson's cult movie "Le Grand Bleu" (Big Blue) in the late 80's.
Apnea is also a recreational sport, celebrated as a relaxing, liberating, and unique experience. Many snorkelers may technically be freediving if they perform any sort of breath hold diving, but it is vital to stress the importance of training and supervision. At Sunset Point Sports Resort you will get professional tuition, including theory and practical lessons at the resort's swimming pool, and freediving in the crystal clear waters of Ibiza, protected as a Natural Preserve and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Like other water sports, Apnea is associated with therapeutic properties. The experience of freedom in an underwater environment makes Freediving somewhat of a personal and spiritual journey for many ! Freediving will also help you feel more secure for the practice of any water sports, in particular surfing and diving.

APNEA - FREEDIVING Packages
- One week: 7 nights accommodation with breakfast and 5 days (1 hour 30 min./day) Apnea course or Freediving practice
- Weekend: 2 nights accommodation with breakfast and 2 days (1 hour 30 min./day) Apnea course or Freediving practice
- Special Language (1 week minimum): 7 nights accommodation with breakfast and 5 days of intensive English or Spanish language course (native teachers) and 5 days of Apnea/Freediving course or practice (optional)
- Special Mixed: All packages, week or weekend, are taylor made and can combine one different activty or watersport each day
- Special Clinics (Exclusive courses for specific requirements): Clinics for Kids, Girls, Open and Pro (advanced and instructors)
All courses include:
- Transfers
- All material
- Theory and practical lessons
- Video-analysis
- Trampoline jumps (grabs, tricks, spins, flips, etc...) if the activity or level requires it

When the weather conditions are not suitable for the practice of a watersport, this will be changed for SUP (Stand up Paddle Surf) or Surf. All watersports are run under the supervision of licensed instructors and expert local guides for all ages and levels.
