Windsurf courses (Initiation, Waterstart or Improver Course) are 10 hours long and taught over 5 days depending on wind conditions. All windsurf courses are run by qualified instructors and take place at different beaches according to the season and the weather, including on the neighbouring island of Formentera which is a 20 min. Zodiac crossing away. Much smaller than Ibiza and known as "The Last Paradise of the Mediterranean”, Formentera was the venue of the 2007 Windsurfing World Championship, which speaks for itself about sailing conditions! Windsurfaris crossing can be organize to Formentera, which is separated from Ibiza by a narrow channel of 2 nautical miles, sprinkled with islets and a long sandy peninsulas. You will be windsurfing Caribbean like waters, with every hues of greens and blues, while the whole area is a nature protected area listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The best months for windsurfing are October through April, but there are good conditions all year round, even in summer thanks to the thermal breezes. Thermal breezes develop as the result of shoreline land heating up above sea temperature during the day and dropping below sea temperature at night. Sea breezes (morning) are directed onshore and land breezes (afternoon), offshore. Both thermals initially develop perpendicular to the shoreline.

When the weather conditions are not suitable for the practice of a watersport, this will be changed for SUP (Stand up Paddle Surf) or Surf. All watersports are run under the supervision of licensed instructors and expert local guides for all ages and levels.
